Therapy for individual adults in north texas
Coffee house conversations…with healing in mind.
Something has you feeling stuck.
Life is meant to be lived, not survived.
Your journey is not over. By taking the next step, it could be just beginning.
Do you find yourself squeezed between caring for aging parents while also supporting your young adult or teen children? Do you find yourself burned out from work? From caregiving? Are you a parent to younger children and struggling with others’ expectations and (unsolicited) advice? Are you a young adult who is struggling with the job market and feel hopeless in terms of taking the next steps toward a happy, fulfilling future? The world has changed dramatically since any of us were growing up and that has affected families, economics, and the amount of support (or lack thereof) felt by many.
Hi, I’m Gay Lee.
About Me…
Prior to being a therapist, I spent 27 years in the field of education, spending most of my time in special education and in early childhood. I served as a teacher, an administrator, a consultant and a program coordinator. While in supervisory roles, I became increasingly aware of the various generations, including both their hopes and their challenges. Since then, changes in society have presented unique challenges for everyone, regardless of age. However, those changes affect the generations differently.
As a therapist, I strive to not only address a client’s issues directly (such as anxiety, burnout, etc.), but to also address it in the context of the unique challenges faced by their specific generation. In other words, I help clients determine what they can control vs what they cannot and help them heal while accommodating for the unique challenges that are present given their stage in life.
