Burnout can result from many situations, including but not limited to career and caregiving.
Burnout goes beyond just feeling tired at the end of the day. Burnout happens when you have emptied your bucket so. much that you have nothing left to give, but you still somehow keep going!
I help clients re-fill their buckets (or fill it for the first time) so that they can not only be there for others…but for themselves!
My style
Once you learn how to fill your bucket, the options are endless!
Even if our parents, teachers and everyone around us was wonderful when we were children, they were still less than perfect. This results in us missing important skills, coping strategies, and positive self-talk along the way. The emptier our bucket, the less that we have for ourselves…and for others. Once we are adults, we may find that the added responsibilities of adulthood can take more than we have to give. When we run out of patience, endurance and strength, we then begin to feel guilty about the what we are missing. However, we did not lose them on purpose. There is hope! We can work toward re-filling our bucket…or even fill it for the first time! We can learn to give ourselves what we have not received.
Through a variety of approaches, such as homework activities, journaling strategies, breathing exercises, exploring solutions, whiteboard activities and several other strategies, I help clients to find ways to fill their buckets so that they can reach their potential, give to others and do life from a place of abundance as opposed to emotional scarcity.
